Dr Coelette Smit
BChD (Pret), MBChB (Pret), MSc (Pret), DipOdont (Oral Surgery)(Pret), MChD (Max.Fac.Chir-Med)(Pret), FCMFOS (SA). Maxillo-Facial and Oral Surgeon.
Dr Coelette Smit is both medically and dentally qualified. Her passion lies in presenting and developing progressive treatments. Her areas of interest include facial reconstruction, pathology and trauma using current technology to improve facial aesthetics and function.
When she is not taking care of her patients, she likes to spend quality time with her family, preferably outdoors, close to nature. She has a special love for water and all activities associated with it specifically diving and swimming.

The Best Equipment
The Planmecca Mid 20 x 20cm CBCT has full implant and orthognathic planning capabilities. This 3D X-ray unit allows for a full face scan that makes the diagnosing of pathology, the surgical planning of procedures and patient education easier. Imaging takes 9 seconds with the lowest radiation exposure, making this CBCT one of the safest machines on the market.
Sedation and Recovery Room
In-house
As part of our service offering we have an in-house sedation and recovery room. Costs from hospital admissions for minor surgical procedures are reduced due to this service. Most medical aids view this favourably.
For anxiety that can be associated with oral work, we offer level one and level two sedation. Please ask Dr Smit to discuss the options with you during your consultation. Not all patients can receive sedation. This will depend on your general health.
